OOTD Diaries: My Pink 2019

January 10, 2020

My Pink 2019, this would definitely describe my year. As 2019 was about to end, I started to go back to memory lane and for me, it was through my Instagram profile. I just want to analyze my year if I had really a great one or a terrible one. But as I scroll through my profile, I noticed some things.

A little more throwback, I actually published before a blog post about how I started to like the color pink. Even the title was similar, “My Pink 2017” was more focused on with my pink hair. And that post was actually like the start of my journey as a blogger. I created a Youtube channel, starting to learn more about editing videos, had a wild look which was my pink hair, my first time to travel out of town with my friends only, and discovered my love of pink things.

Fast-forward to 2019, I continued on with my love of the color pink and it was more on with my outfits.

At the start of the year, specifically during January, I was really active with my posts and in my blog. I even produced 2 videos on my Youtube Channel. It’s all thanks to my DBS family because we started this program named as Blogging Goals Support Group. So basically, it was a group of bloggers where we share our weekly goals for our blogs, vlogs, and social media accounts. It helped me a lot with my productivity because I was able to track my goals. Also, I was so inspired to do them as well.

But as February came, I became busy with adult life. I got an offer from a friend to open a business with her. It was a promising business, that’s why I decided to give it a shot. It was also perfect timing since I was unemployed at that time. Luna Cafe was born. And as expected, I became busy since we were building everything from scratch.

Then April came, I became more comfortable with our business and I’ve adjusted enough. That’s the time when I started to be active in the blogging world. It was a rough start. I was gone quite long for the social media world but I’m lucky that there are some people who continue to support me and my content. So this time, opportunities came in endlessly and I became more inspired to be active and the start of my never-ending pink outfits.

Here are my favorite pink outfits for 2019:

1. Pink Totoro Shirt

This was actually my post after the busy days of work. Here, I simply wore my pink shirt with a Totoro embroidery in the chest area. Unfortunately with this angle, the cute design was covered by my shoulder. Don’t worry, I’ll show it to you next time. Then, I paired it with a white denim skirt that I bought from Divisoria last 2017.  This was the time where I was too preoccupied with work, that’s why my outfit was just plain but I made sure that I would still look cute.

2. Hot Pink Dri-fit Top

This outfit is definitely not my usual look. But this is a memorable one. It was my first time for me to hike a mountain. And Whooo! It was really challenging. I’m not that active kind of person. Yes, I love sports but recently I’ve not been exercising regularly. Plus, I have a fear of heights. That’s why I was scared at first. But I took the challenge and just tested myself if I can do it. Surprisingly, I made it!

3. Pink Box Pleated Skirt

This look literally screams, Sweetroxieee! haha. Aside from that pink skirt and the beret hat, the cute and pretty setup of pastries by Desserts Bar brought out my real personality! Everything from the interiors to their utensils and most especially their pastries are so cute and sweet! I would say this would be my heaven on earth. I totally belong here!

4. Pink One Piece Swimsuit

Since I was out and about lately, it was nice to experience peace and tranquility. It is when I just took the whole afternoon off and relax in this hot jacuzzi tub. I always love hot water, that’s why jacuzzis are just my thing. The pink swimsuit is really my favorite swimwear of all time. It was cute, comfortable and perfect for my chubby body. It’s my go-to swimwear! And I wouldn’t mind wearing it again and again.

5. Pink Barbie Shirt

Well, every 90’s kid, who is a girl, grew up with Barbie dolls as their toys. And I’m definitely one of them. My mom even buys me Barbie sets every time I got stars from school. While my dad made me a big dollhouse which is as big as a library’s bookshelf. My Barbie had a complete house. She even have a beach area, office area and complete set of tiny kitchenware such as plates, utensils, and cups. I would say I had a great childhood. But sadly, everything was washed away when our house was flooded.

6. Pink Satin Slip Dress

This satin slip dress is unquestionably my favorite from my wardrobe. It has been with me since 2017. It was actually my NYE 2017 outfit! And I’ve been experimenting with it. Here, I wore a midnight blue blazer because I got to attend an event that has a business meeting vibes since I was meeting bosses from that company. With the blazer on, it surely gives a boss babe look!

7. Pink Blazer

Another business look outfit! This time it’s the pink blazer. This blazer is also a statement piece from my wardrobe. I had this way back 2015. It was also another product from our dress shop, RL Fashion & Lifestyle. I just wore a black lace tank top and a velvet round skirt so that my pink blazer would be the star of the whole look. Plus, the pink floral print pumps from Aldo was also a head turner! Plus, I got it with a very affordable price which is only for P1,200! Aldo really gives big discounts whenever they’re on sale. So better watch out for their sale announcements.

8. Pink Fluffy Bunny Ears Bag

The cutest bag that I ever had! This pink fluffy bunny ears is my favorite accessory last 2019. I featured this one before in my Cute Lazada Haul vlog. I love this statement bag because it can immediately make my plain outfit into a cute one. If I’m lazy to put up a look, this would be my go-to bag. It may look like childish but for me I just love it the way it is!

9. Pink Ruched Top

This top is also a blast from the past. Ruched tops became famous during the 90’s. Timely, I wore this top when we were at the every kid’s childhood dream destination, which is the Disneyland. I’ve featured this top before in my Hong Kong outfits blog post. This top was actually purchased last minute. Thankfully, Luna Lifestyle Cafe is there for my last minute outfit shopping

10. Pink Long Blazer

Actually, this is not a long blazer but this is an oversized one. I really love the cut, fabric, and style of the blazer that’s why I bought it even it was in the size XL. You can spot that I rolled sleeves because it was too long for me. The oversized blazer was big for me but I was trying to achieve a dressy look. It looks somehow corporate but more on a relaxed version. I would like to call the look as a chill corporate.

Why do I like the color pink?

As I was writing this blog post, I was curious about the true meaning of the color pink. That’s why I went to google and searched for it. To my surprise, this is what I’ve found out. According to Bourn Creative, “Pink, is a delicate color that means sweet, nice, playful, cute, romantic, charming, feminine, and tenderness. It is the color of universal love of oneself and of others.”

So, I was literally mind-blown. Yes, the meaning was somehow obvious but I didn’t expect that every single adjective literally describes my personality. And what strikes me the most is the part where it symbolizes the “universal love of oneself”. And to be honest, it is what I’m trying to embody in the past year. And I came to conclude that I’m really expressing myself through my outfits whether it is about my personality or about my vision and what I’m trying to express.

I may really have gone too far for my love of the color pink the past year. But, I don’t regret it though. And I think I’m still not over it. So, I’m pretty sure that there would be more pink outfits coming from me this 2020.

Is that okay with you, sweeties? ♡
