Uniqlo: Basically Cute OOTD

June 17, 2018

Wearing basic, simple and formal clothes doesn’t mean that you should be boring and dull. You can add a hint of your personality to spice things up and own your whole look. ♡

As you regularly see in my Instagram feed, I’m mostly wearing dainty dresses, pastel-colored skirts, some floral tops or in denim shorts. But I thought of wearing something unusual for me. So, I challenged myself to wear something simple and basic. And whenever I think about these two words, I think to wear something black.

To be honest, I’m not a big fan of the color black. For me, the color is just too gloomy, sad and scary. But it’s also perfect for the corporate and formal events. It just gives a classic, elegant and minimalist vibes. It’s the easiest color to pull off. A perfect example of it is your LBD or Little Black Dress.

♥ The Outfit ♥

So, I decided wore this simple black tank top and comfortable black culottes from Uniqlo. I really love the fit of the top because it’s kinda loose plus it’s in the color black so meaning my chubby wubby fats are perfectly hidden. Also, I really love the smoothness of the fabric of the clothing which is what Uniqlo is really known about. Their clothing is made of best materials that are really of high quality.

The length of the culottes is also perfect for my height. Exposing my knees are definitely a need so that I’ll look taller. (At least, even it’s only an illusion. haha!) Also, the back gartered waistband is certainly a big plus because I’ll not be bothered to eat too much during the event. I’ll be still comfortable even my tummy will expand since it will adjust. hehe!

♥ The Accessories ♥

Of course, to add some of my personality, I chose to wear my cute accessories. First of is my pink fluffy earrings. This pair of earrings is unquestionably my favorite. Like I could wear it every day! Next is my cute pink Miniso shoulder bag. The size of the bag may be small but it can fit my essentials such as my wallet, cellphone, power bank and my pocket WiFi.

♥ The Shoes ♥

To finish my whole look, I wore my white fluffy blocked heels from Concept Meraki. I really live for this heels! I can run freely with it. It’s totally comfortable and secure since there’s an ankle strap to hold. Though “the experts” say strappy heels are not recommended for petite girls since it can cut your legs. But it’s always not easy to walk tall when you’re wearing heels. So, make sure to choose thin straps to elongate your legs. A nude heel is an added bonus because the neutral color tricks the eye, it seamlessly blends to your leg.
