My 10 Favorite OOTDs of 2018

December 31, 2018
This year, I became more experimental with my outfits. I transitioned to different colors such as from pink, to blue and then to black. However, I still didn’t forget my signature look which is to look cute.

Last year, I promised myself to post more of my outfits both in my blog and in my Instagram. I’m so glad that I have somehow achieved it. I posted almost everyday in my Instagram account. While in my blog, I’ve created 15 style posts. I also have attended a couple of fashion related events and met some style icons.

2018 was quite an experimental year. I tried different styles, colors, themes and looks. From my biased colors which are the pastels, to different shades of blue or denim and then to the darker shades such as black, grey and maroon. I’m happy that I became more open to different styles and somehow still looked good on it.

So here are my 10 favorite OOTDs of 2018:

♥︎ MY PINK VALENTINE ♥︎

Pink and white combination has been my go to color this 2018. Last Valentines day 2018, even though I don’t have a date or something, I still prepared and dressed up as cute as I can be. But thanks with my friends, we went out partying and having fun celebrating our freedom as a single ladies. So for now, I just borrowed the plastic flowers from Yolk’s Flower Cafe + Cupcakery decorations for my photo props. Hahaha!

♥︎ COOL GIRL ♥︎

This was my first attempt to get that “cool girl” or “rocker chick” look. But to tell you honestly, this was my style way back in high school. I’d wear mostly black shirts and long denim pants with tattered ends. My pants were so long that to the point its like I’m mopping the floor with it. Hahahaha!! Those times were quite “cringey”.

In this time, it’s actually my first time to have a black boots. I’ve been searching for that perfect boots. And I were so happy that I finally found one online. And it’s price is quite cheap for a leather boots. Now, I’ve been dreaming to have a rack full of boots. hahaha!

♥︎ GOLDEN HOUR ♥︎

To tell you honestly, I’m not a big fan of the color yellow. For me this color is quite strong for my attitude. Plus I feel that I my skin would look a shades darker from my original skin tone. But during the summer of 2018, the canary yellow was on trend. So, I took risk and just tried it.

Unexpectedly, my outfit looked good. I was just overthinking things. The color was also timely for summer since it gives a fun and happy aura and totally screams summer.

♥︎ KAWAII MILK ♥︎

This shirt would be my most favorite shirt for this year. But actually this shirt is not a new one. I got this one way back 2017. I think I just forgotten that I had one and it was on the back of my closet. After a big general cleaning of my closet, I saw this shirt and got hooked on it. The print is so cute!! And the fabric used is super smooth and comfortable. I really like it that it can match any bottom from denim shorts to any kind of skirt. This outfit is my go to outfit whenever I’m out of the house and run some errands.

♥︎ VINTAGE BRUNCH ♥︎

This outfit is an another experimental look. I got this navy blazer in a big sale from Forever21. Even though this one is quite oversized for me, I still bought it since it was for P500 only!! So, I just planned that I would wear this to have an oversized theme look.

I decided to partnered the blazer with a vintage top which was a hand-me-down from my cousin. Yes, almost all of my cousins clothes would be passed down to me since I’m the only one who has a small size and I think my size have been consistent. hahaha!

♥︎ PINK SWIMSUIT ♥︎

My greatest haul of all time! This pink swimsuit is an accidental purchase. I bought this swimsuit one day before our Siargao trip. All thanks to my dear friend, Sai Dayanghirang! She introduced to a store where you could find cheap swim-wears from brand new to 2nd hands. And I would say it is really cheap there. I got this pink swimsuit for P250 only!! Like 4 times cheaper than a regular swimsuit that you could find in the malls. And it’s brand new!!! I’m totally in love with this one piece.

♥︎ SUMMERTIME FUN ♥︎

The hot pink heart sunnies is really the star here. The shades is quite quirky and few people can rock this item. And I think, I nailed this one. It gives a cute and fun vibes which is also perfect for summer. Plus, it complements well with my off-shoulder bell-sleeves pastel blue dress. Since the color of the dress is quite muted, the hot pink shades pops so well. And I bet people would notice and remember you well.

♥︎ IN A HEARTBEAT ♥︎

Another off-shoulder look! Hahaha I tell you 2018 was my off-shoulder year. You can know more why I’m all about off-shoulders in my previous blog post.

This look is also not ordinary. It’s because I wore a pants here which is only happening during a blue moon. hahaha! I just don’t wear pants anymore. It’s because I’m not comfortable wearing one. I feel so small and I think I would look like a midget. That’s why you always see me wearing shorts or mini-skirts. I want to show off my cute legs and not hide it so that I’ll have an illusion of long legs. Well, you know, #PetiteGirlProblems. hahaha!

♥︎ NIGHT SKY ♥︎

This look is actually impromptu. I don’t feel wearing color at that time. So I just grabbed the grey shirt and the black pencil skirt. I didn’t expect that it would look coordinated with my sneakers. Plus, that cool chained fanny pack or belt bag really gave the wow factor for this look. Also, I’m quite shocked that the photo will turn out like this because I didn’t experience to shoot a style content during night time. Usually we do it during day time because we were chasing after the natural light from the sun. But here, the city lights and the lights from the car gave another kind of effect which looked so cool in this photo.

♥︎ PINK SWEETIE ♥︎

Lastly, my most favorite outfit this year is the one that I wore during my pre-birthday Cebu trip. It was October 3 and it was on a Wednesday. It was a noteworthy date for fans of the Mean Girls movie.  And there was a famous line from the movie which was, “On Wednesdays, we wear pink.” It’s like a Mean Girls Day. Fans wore pink to celebrate the occasion. Of course, I wouldn’t let this so fetch occasion to pass by. So, I wore an pink outfit!

2018 was a stylish year for me. I was not afraid on different style. Also, I continued to show my own aesthetics. I didn’t forget to add my cute item on every outfit. I even discovered that I also look good in some colors. Now, I’m excited to try different themes and hopefully I can still look good on it.

That’s it sweeties, I’m closing 2018 with this post. Hope you had a wonderful year as much as I do. I’m super excited for 2019. I still don’t know what will happen but I’m sure that it would be good and fun.

Happy New Year, sweeties! ♡
