Mr. Kimbob in Davao City

Hi, sweeties!  I’m back from another food trip with my friends. And if you’ve been following me on Instagram, you can see in my stories that I eat Korean food most of the time. Well, I just fell in love with their cuisine. And since I’m craving for it almost every day, I’m so happy that Mr. Kimbob opened their 1st branch here in Mindanao!

Mr. Kimbob is a quick service restaurant chain which is famous for their affordable prices and quality Korean meals. They are mostly located at the food court of malls. They have been serving Korean style dining experiences for 5 years now in Luzon and Visayas. And finally, last December 20, 2018, Mr. Kimbob opened their 1st branch here in Mindanao which is located at SM City Davao foodcourt.

 

So, what to order? Here’s a list of the must-try food from Mr. Kimbob:

♥ Bibimbob – ₱119 ♥

You shouldn’t miss this! Their best-seller dish, Bibimbob, is their own version of a Korean Bibimbap. It is a rice meal with some vegetables such as carrots, bean sprouts, cabbage, white onions, meat (you can choose from pork, beef or chicken) and topped it with an egg. If you’re on a tight budget, I recommend ordering this!

Plus, they will provide you one special Bibimbob sauce for free! It’s their own mixture of gochujang (chili pepper paste). This sauce is definitely the star of this dish. I’ll bet you’ll ask for more.

♥ BBQ Samgyupsal – ₱165 ♥

Craving for a Korean BBQ? Mr. Kimbob’s Samgyupsal meal is the one for you. You don’t need to wait for it to be cooked because they will grill it for you. I really like the hint of a sweet taste of their pork belly. Their meat is also imported from Australia. They are also quite generous in their serving of the meat.

♥ Spicy Korean Rice Cake – ₱129 ♥

What I love about this dish is that it has a mild spiciness level plus it’s kinda sweet. Also, it’s chewy rice cakes is simply addictive! This is a great partner to balance the flavors of your BBQ Samgyupsal meal.

♥ Ramen – ₱125 ♥

For cold weather like rainy days, this ramen is the perfect go-to meal. You can specify either you want it mild or a bit spicy. I love how they added an egg to it. Their ramen noodles are from Korea that’s why the quality is superb.

♥ Kimbob – ₱129 ♥

Kimbob is their own version of Kimbap. You can choose if you want kimchi or beef for the filing. This would be great take-out food for your family at home since it is known as a convenient food because of its portability.

I’m very satisfied for their food. What I really amazed about is that their price range is affordable yet they’re also generous on their servings. Most of their food is good for 2 already! Also, the quality of their food is not neglected since most of their ingredients are from Korea.

So if you want a quick and budgeted Korean meal, Mr. Kimbob is the place to be! I’ll see you there sweeties! ♡
