Holcim Philippines, Inc., a leading building solutions provider, introduces Holcim Multifix. It’s a new easy-to-use and multipurpose mortar product that can help contractors and masons. Its main purpose is to improve the quality of walls, floors, and tile installation in their building projects.
Holcim Multifix is a combination of sand, cement, and polymer for better performance. You can use it by adding water. For quality uniformity, it produced in the company’s dry mix plant. This removes the need for masons to combine materials on site. As an effect, it reduces wastage of building materials thus making it an eco-friendly product.
According to Holcim’s Senior Vice President for Marketing and Innovation Ram Maganti, Multifix helps address common challenges of builders in producing mortars. Some challenges are the high-quality raw materials and varying skill levels of workers. Thus, Multifix can be an excellent wall plaster, perfect for screeding(a finishing layer of concrete slabs for leveling floors), and for tile laying.
“We developed Holcim Multifix in line with our company’s commitment to continuously produce innovative building solutions that do not just bring value to our customers but are also sustainable for the environment. Holcim Multifix helps make it easier for our partner builders to produce good quality walls. Also, Multifix is modified with polymer for outstanding adhesion. Whereas, compared to on-site mixed mortars as well as better crack resistance. Since we are not screening sand, there will be lesser material wastage. Lastly, Holcim Multifix is the only all-in-one drymix product in the Philippines. These are the Five Star Advantage of Holcim Multifix,” he said.
Holcim Multifix will be initially available as 25-kilogram bags in select locations in Luzon by December. While, it will be introduced in Mindanao at around the first quarter of 2021. It’s the latest in the company’s line of dry mix products which includes Holcim Skim Coat and Holcim Tile Adhesive.
